Well, rectangular bread also the most common commercial bread here in Indonesia.
 
Wait so some countries only have that one with ear toast as regular bread mmm...~?

I thought both the rectangular white bread and the eared toast are the most common bread in every country mmm...
 
The other type of loaf also exist. I said most common because white rectangular loaf is what people most preferred when buying a bread.
 
It is pretty common in europe. Also, the "eared" bread is just a rectangular bread that has risen outside the mould
 
Looking up "shokupan", it seems to be fluffier and milkier than regular white bread. Still, it's not like all American bread is whole grain with seeds on it.
 
Wow, there are countries that have worse bread than the US? As a german, this baffles me.
 
Hello! I'm a bread lover from France, and it isn't even bread for me. It's good enough and practical, but it's not bread, just some industrial thing. So please try real bread one day and become a bread lover with me!
 
... I don't get it. What's the difference between "rectangular toast" and "eared toast"? With pictures for visual comparison, preferably.
 
Guys, no kidding. Google those bread terms & cry (shokupan looks legit amazing tho. Wish I could have one)
 
@daijokay well, closeness yes. It may be a different taste though. Some may have filling or may even have hint of salt.
All bread will of course be similar in design. Taste however will be different.
