I like how she dealt with those people except for the scientist guy. I understand that he's a shitty person but it seems like his school and teachers have a pretty good cause (education). It would have been better to have the guy send a message to his superior about how she would like an educational class or even institute to be created in her land and in exchange she could provide more knowledge to them. Of course she could always set up her own institute but she'd still need man power and people willing to learn the things she knows since she can't teach all the time.

It's not exactly clear what this scientist was hoping to achieve or if they'd contribute anything to the territory. If he mentioned opening a school for reading, writing, and mathematics then sure I'd forgive him, but I got the impression he felt above educating commoners and was hoping to instead become the viscount's private instructor or even just a member of their entourage.

Before the 19th century scientific breakthroughs and social theory came from research sponsored either by the church or privately by nobles that housed and fed them simply because it was interesting or contributing to scholastic arts was a source of pride. Maybe if he was researching crop rotation and animal husbandry, he'd be worth keeping around.

I would've sent this guy back too, but not without asking him to send another lecturer for the purpose of opening a school.

Education is important. Even if they can't teach her anything new, educating the kids of her domain is going to pay off in the long run.

@Nolonar What's the point if all they teach is elementary school level stuff? She can literally just pop in hundreds of books on any given subject they might be teaching about, and each book would be centuries ahead of what the shitty schools around here are teaching.
