This is one of the most irritating, over-used, clichéd storytelling tropes out there. Female lead secretly likes male lead but 3rd party girl tells female lead she likes him so female lead backs off. This is completely different from when the 3rd party male likes the female lead: he will do whatever he can to get into her pants, even if she already has a boyfriend.

@ObsidianX From what I understand this scantalator is releasing the chapters in their original length, the other scantalator who is doing this series originally was releasing much shorter chapters but then also started to release them in the long format, and that other scantalator had already done this chapter, so that's probably why you think you've seen this chapter before.

From my knowledge this story actually has a 'pre-serial' and a 'post-serial' as in the short 4 panel pages were from before the story got 'officially' released. And melon drop is translating from the 'post-serial' which has the longer pages.
