It's not really drama imo, unless next chapter she doesn't know how to respond, or sei-chan sees it and ends up misunderstanding. I think it's just a plot device to show if she is serious about their relationship or not, it's bound to appear some random homewreckers but it's all up to the couple and their loyalty or decisiveness

Dude talked to her once and thinks they are super close, what a weirdo. Just hope this character that exists for no reason and doesnt add to the story in any way (no, not even progressing the relationship) will be gone soon without keeping him around as a nuisance. Since the author didnt do cliché shit until now I believe he wont make the FMC lose her brain and not flat out reject him completely, well, I sure hope this is the case.
