doesnt change the fact that the king plans to dispose of him rather than letting him go free if he hadnt taken the "reward"
also from the mc's perspective he saved someone agreed to unreasonable demands of nobles under the condition of beeing only questioned and freed afterward and got tortured neglected and forced before the king as a reward
his nice attitude towards the twintail is disturbing for even seasoned and highly logical adults nvm a 10year old
