I'm not sure WHY none of this makes sense, I just know it doesn't.
But like, why? Translation is now much better than it used to be, but still. Is author trying (and failing) to be mysterious and shit? Or has he just chosen to start explaining from the most convoluted part, and it'll make sense after 7 more chapters?
