is it just me, or does the dialogue and character interactions in this manga not really make sense all the time? i feel as if an alien wrote it or something.
Mainly the side characters, but even some of the main characters act weird. Like Yumi will be totally against something or upset, then next panel just be like "okay thats fine" or change the subject and no longer be upset or against it. Its like someone is rolling a dice to decide what happens between each character panel by panel.

Well she pretty much chose Ran while having feelings for Gai, because she can sleep normally...
Also there wasn't almost any moments showing her feelings/thoughts for Ran, when she thinks about Gai over and over again. She needs to decided finally.

Ran: I love her, I forced myself on her when I told I won't and made decision for her. Hym, rival is coming back? Well, whatever...
Gai: I love her, I help her every time when she is alone. Hym? Let's back down, go away and try after few months.
Yumi: I like Shio she is my mentor, I like Gai too. Oh no Shio is evil and Gai is playboy. But well let's help him, or maybe not- whatever I will help him, but I like him too.
Shoko & Rinda: we love each other. Well let's break up for "each other sake", because we can't talk like normal people not to mention adults...

@mistersmithweird It could just be translation stuff. In Japanese you can often get rid of most of a sentence and purely rely on context for it to make sense, which makes translation a pain.
It's possible a lot of the dialogue here is very vague and nuanced, and often discussions happen while nothing actually changes in terms of characters acting, which would make understanding individual phrases rather annoying.
String a load of those together, and you have very little context that it's tricky to allow it to make sense
