Now i wonder. Counter punch is known as a difficult move able to effortlessly down the opponent. If a real bear (not polar bear, maybe grizzly or kodiak) swing his claw and we do counter punch, can we knock the bear down?

Consider the difference between arm's length and muscle mass. I think even with Dempsey's roll, you'll end up dead with broken fist

Uh, how is the MC getting beaten so badly? He just caught a blade with his mouth and bit through it. Don't tell me biting an arm or fist is harder.

Even if the MC has to get hit by 3 punches to deal a claw or bite attack he'll win.

Don't try to fist fight bears. Get a good weapon if you can.
