Both princes would have to die for that to happen and he is a commoner without noble background, even scrapped from his family, so it's unlikely he could marry the princess even now, he would have to become noble first and have a lot of merit in the kingdom, so other nobles would accept such union.

There are quite a bit women in power here, Queen, Guild Master... So it doesn't sound so unrealistic that she could be in the inheritance with equal rights as a man, but still, from what is shown, one prince is clearly portrayed as the one to inherit the throne even if not explicitly stated.
