Shuukan Shounen Hachi - Vol. 4 Ch. 29 - It All Starts from Here

I expected the academy to revoke their decision but they really followed their own policy and expelled/transferred the losing teams

@rc1138

I know. It's little things like following through with something that Kakashi and Aizawa only threatened that make this interesting.

Expelled with a money refund. It's all good for the guys we'll never see again, but I'm glad this arc is over.
Now we can get to romcom parts and a better cast of characters. Can't wait!

@Chuggoth Oh hell no, keep romcom elements out of this! Or just in occasional chapters, but otherwise as far in the background as possible. If I want to read a Masuda romcom I'll stick to Jitsu wa, thank you.

Anyway, I'm glad they didn't back out from the "bottom twelve out" rule. It's handled much more humanely than I expected all in all. And the page of Tanuma crying is simply beautiful.

But, err, shouldn't Hoozuki know all this already?

Seconding "i don't need romcom in the forefront," this manga is fine being Bakuman 2.

@Lyendith Well, I guess it was my poor choice of words.
What I had in mind was SoL with gag setups and romcom elements.
Pure romcom like in Jitsu Wa wouldn't exactly work in this setting.

Occasional romance is fine but it's obviously not the focus of this manga.

But damn. I was really not expecting them to follow through. Color me surprised they actually got expelled

I'm actually more surprised there weren't newspeople and/or angry parents outside (or even in the school, if not the classroom) when the results were announced. The whole setup was on the national news, after all.

But, err, shouldn't Hoozuki know all this already?

@lyendith didn't they say he wasn't E real the whole time? He worked his way up and then fell to the bottom when he got cucked

that was amazingly done... they does do get kicked out... something you rarely see...
