SHY - Vol. 2 Ch. 11 - Light the Fire

I hope that chick from calligraphy club becomes recurring character

I think author like to pursue Slice of Life chapter to follow the Character growth.
This is nice before building up new arc without asspulling Deus ex machina later.

I never wear glasses. But I think getting hit by a volleyball on the face, while wearing glasses, has to be a grade A painful.

I know I shouldn't see her armpits like that but ... I'm sorry.

This chapter with school stuff was actually quite nice, tall girl is also nice...............................please don't turn her into a monster now T-T I know you will but ...DON'T

Uuh, anyone else getting weird out by her neck size changing? I kept on imagining her becoming that yokai with long neck

Please don't be just fire, please don't be just fire, please don't be just fire, please don't be just fire, please don't be just fire!

Oh, I like the big girl. I wouldn't mind it if the author keeps this high rate of slice of life chapters compared to the action/drama ones.

Not really. If anything, they prevent the ball from directly hitting your eye.

@Authn
I feel like it's the opposite. Due to the size and shape of a volleyball and the shape of the human face, it's unlikely that a volleyball will directly harm your eyes as much of the impact is absorbed and likely to be deflected by the surrounding bone. Meanwhile, glasses are a larger target with no outer protection; they're more likely to take a direct impact than your eyes, and a direct hit to a lens can dislodge it from the frame and poke your eye directly. A direct hit to the bridge can snap the frame or dig the supports into the bridge of the nose (and due to their smaller surface area, it can do more damage / cause more pain with enough force).
