people, cut him some slack, he was desparate enough to think about suicide, was hit unconsciuos, woke up in a complete foreign environment, so basically kidnapped with no escape route, now confronted with a guy who can use magic and who doesn't let him really time to think about anything
at the moment he should be disturbed and in complete confusion plus that bruise on his stomach hurt surely too
it would be way more strange if he could think straight under these circumstances
