That's a real thing. There is a sub-type of fat fetishist called a 'feeder'. They get off on making fattening foods and feeding to their partners. In some cases, when they partner is no longer happy being fat and try to lose weight with meals they prepare themselves, the feeder turns abusive and sabotages their diet. Injecting maple syrup into their weight loss shakes, etc.

@Pyoro I don't think they have unhealty body image issues. They -gained- weight and are trying to lose it. That means they weighed less before. There's no evidence that they're obsessed with their weight, after all they only noticed because other people pointed it out, so they're likely just trying to lose a few pounds and get back to their previous weight. You're kinda jumping the gun saying that they have body image issues. Also only 1 of them is possibly an alcoholic, and that's the flare bartender. The other's while they drink frequently have restraint, and can -choose- not to drink with no problem. They still have control and responsibility. That's like saying someone is a addicted to sweets because they make sensible meal plans and portion out so they can have a desert each day. No, that's called making a choice. Alcoholism means that it's a compulsion not a choice.

Edit: actually the flare bartender isn't close either to being an alcoholic. Bars usually don't let you drink on the job. If she was an alcoholic that close to booze she wouldn't be able to stop herself.
