It's chapters like this that show how the author doesn't really understand American culture 
I remember thinking the same thing while reading the webnovel. Everyone is always portrayed as having Korean mannerisms and work relationships (i.e. bowing to superiors, expressing shame, etc.) except when the author has someone act stereotypically "American" (i.e. blond, tall and arrogant). Still, I don't care that much. This web-novel/comic is awesome!
