@Doomer Yeah... sounds like he's an author for money. Since you're right he doesn't bring back anything. Of course he could of & was just cut out of the story. Since in the start he sold those dollar store 'crystal' glasses for gold.

@Doomer In the beginning, I think it mentioned that he was acting as a trader and had been going back and forth between world for some time and had obtained (pre-city purchase) nearly 30 gold coins. Gold is gold so long as your modern-era buyer doesn't care where you got it from.
