@captain-crunch The villains are obviously following proper villain guidelines. Since all traps have a 100% fatality rate, and no one can escape anything, they know that they can do other, better things with their time. Like working on different villainous plots, which also have a 100% chance of success!

@captain_crunch I mean, they could have been bait to get more people trapped in there in a rescue attempt. But again, might as well just kill them and the potential rescuers directly at that point. Perhaps they lacked confidence in being able to do so.
