Seeing as how it's labeled "Mother-in-Law's House" I'm assuming the husband and wife don't live together. Or have anything close to a good relationship. Judging by the way she's dressed in her own home and all the jewelry she's wearing, she's probably someone who married a man who makes more than she can spend. Basically, the type of person that the FIL wouldn't tell anything important.
