The great studio which gave us magnificent "research materials" is now making a game 😂

Their KickStarter Page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/990500595/subverse

already has...

$616,125 pledged of $130,770 goal

14,260 backers

and still growing....

lastly it'll be on STEAM: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1034140/Subverse/ (NSFW)

I see steam work quite fast on dispatching hentai game as usual huh...

Edit:
Well.. there's always other option such as "Epic Games" I guess

@ABCsOfLife

It's still showing up in the store and on my wish list. You have to have 'adult content ' turned on in your account settings.

Also Epic has stated they won't be allowing any adult content on their store.

'From the Studio that is banned from Patreon for having a Werewolf eat out of a girls ass"

The Trailer was funny as hell.

Porn aside. The gameplay actually from the few clips and pics, look legit. If a porn Studio can come out with a game that works better than half our AAA titles today, I'll be happy.

And on a serious note. The seem to be in a legal battle at the moment over the copyright of the Subverse name. Hopefully they can work things out without taking it to an expensive court .

Wait I thought steam was on some sort of holy crusade of banning adult games from there platform?

that was a while ago, before they decided to just say screw it. There have been specific games that have been hit, but that was due to specific content rather than just being porn games.

Most likely. Tim Pool, the independent journalist who has been using "Subverse" as his channel branding for close to about 5 years now didn't even know about the game until people were congratulating him on a Kickstarter that he wasn't aware of. He's not interested in dragging this out in court (namely because that would also be expensive) or otherwise trying to shut down Studio FOW but he just wants to keep his rights to the usage of his trademark. And, unfortunately, things like this legally bite you in the ass if you don't make an attempt to secure and defend your brand and it can be taken away. And he has videos going back years where utilized his Subverse brand, so changing his trademark would mean nuking years of content that he made and hundreds of videos.

Tim Pool was just interviewed by Nick Rekieta (he's a lawyer that talks about legal issues and does legal education while also getting pretty shitfaced at times, I was watching him for some time now already due to his coverage of the Vic Mignogna situation)

Chances are it will be settled out of court because I don't think either party wants to throw down over this. Although I will say Studio FOW is still pretty damn early in development and Tim Pool has been utilizing Subverse branding in his videos for years. Tim Pool has a much stronger case and it's much harder for him to rebrand than it is for FOW. Although Tim was even open to doing some sort of SFW collaboration, if somewhat jokingly.

So quick update. They raised 1.6 out of a asked for 1 million.

Damn that's a lot.
