Apparently the island is something like an entity that floats through the rift of time and space. The second FMC isn't from the same time zone as our modern day protagonists. It's probably something like the Bermuda Triangle if I had to predict what the island is based on.

Yeah I have read this..... elsewhere before.... I was finding it to be a little boring to be honest. But its mostly just been about him being a survival guru. Author should of added a little more ecci content to help their chemistry (especially since they are alone), but not much as really happened.

I think it's an open-ended question honestly. Chances are that most of their class did drown and die since all of them went back into the boat when it sunk. But there's also the chance some people also jumped into ocean and drifted to a regular island and got rescued there.
