. Romance really wasn't a strong point of that series in general though, I suppose. Using what little plot progression a series like that tends to have on it as much as they did might have been a bad call.

I think his aproach is actually better than just "forcing" her to stay with him, I mean from what we can assume about demons in this wrld they are pretty independent creatures that have to live by themseves from a early age so it would be like trying to adopt an adult while this way he can keep an eye on her whithout looking like he is trying to control her.
