Powerfully written, but definitely the sort of thing where, even though I respect the tonal reasons for author ending it where it did...
I STILL WANNA KNOW how things progress from there, dammit. Things could obviously go two or three different ways from here in their lives and relationship, and I'm emotionally invested enough at this point to care... *sigh*
