As usual, the kid gets punished for their mistake, while the parent just goes on doing whatever. ^^

My favorite part was the friend being overly worried about things getting awkward once she meets the step mom.

@Pyoro Her step mom seems like an okay person, at least. She's definitely reacting more calmly towards the kid's actions than her own dad is.

Yes, the stepmom seems fine. And she probably doesn't want to contradict the father too much at this stage (or just generally because Asia ^^).
And, don't get me wrong, parents are human, they make mistakes; I don't think the dad is evil or anything - he's probably stressed too and let it get to him.

But I guess I'm still young enough to automatically side with the kid
