If she has kids back at her village (or anywhere, I guess), will she die and transfer all her power to her progeny? I forget how breeding works with named ones.

The mustache is made of seaweed (nori). It’s a joke of sorts to wear it and pretend to be dignified or whatever. Kinda like how school kids in Japan can wear a hat on their head like a sail with spoons over their eyes to impersonate Ultraman.
Since it fell off, there’s no longer any need to pretend to be some dandy, strict boss, and he just goes casual.
in that serie, giving a "name" is akin to giving a share of one's own magical power. a bit like transfering a bit of your MP (can be recovered over time), to give a "power boost" to your target, rather than reducing your own magical capacity.
if there is "overdose" of magical energy, then mutation to a more receptive body can happen (to absorb and retain that energy, called magicules)
progeny can at best only inherit part of one's parents, and mostly have the base characteristics of their races, so will be comparatively weaker than their parents when they reach same age as when they got "named".
