Idc what hannah's reasoning was. I hope she gets a good punishment for this. Literally selling a baby to human traffiking, where they would do god knows what to her, just for some medicine and a job. As if she wasn't working under one of the kingdom's most powerful, and probably richest, families. What an utter dumbass. To top it off, she reaply was gonna just give up the baby and be on her way until they forced her to come along. Only then did she feel bad. If she doesn't at least get fired then they're stupid af.

Reading through all the comments and it seems that somehow no one else noticed that

in the basket Hannah mentioned that defying the kidnappers would be defying "Remington" which would also affect her mother's job (page 26) and the young captain of that elite Guard squad is also called "Graces Remington" (page 16).

Coincidence? Or just a really bad attempt at foreshadowing that already revealed the mastermind? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
