I kind of get the feeling the Archbishop is similar to the main character, in origins at least. Gives off the same vibe of "not really a true believer" playing a part to fit in and doing it a little too well.

Maybe I'm wrong but it'd be nice if he genuinely is just interested in finding competent people and hiring them.

Yeah, it got shuffled around at least a bit. Girl is the saint, for instance. Feel like Bask family was either mushroom cut or spikey hair dude, don't really remember their names (obviously). Feel like the expelled one was mushroom cut though, 'cause it also mentioned something later about him being under house arrest or such for a while which would fit for an uptight bigwig family that just had a kid get expelled for something, so that throws my guesses back towards spikey being the Bask family member and that last one as the child prodigy.

What's with this cliched comment? Dropped. Don't mind me, had to make fun of this because acting so pissy about stuff like this is amusing to me. I dunno, it's like "Well, this isn't really for me, gonna find something else to read" gets a pass from me, but this "How dare they make me read this shit with my own two eyes?!" sort of thing is deserving of some snark.
