Looks to me like the mc is just in the role of an imouto in a standard, generic harem series. He belongs to his sister the same way a standard harem imouto belongs to her brother, and he doesn't get any real interaction w/ ppl outside of his sister's harem. That said, perhaps all those generic harem imoutos from all those generic harem series are just as unnecessary.
