Probably yes.
But at least it seems like they are actually doing something against his plans.
Its always annoying when they stop a villains plans but the villain still act smug for the whole series until the absolute end just so they can always seem superior.

I always find it funny when the villains turn into basically snot-nosed brats e.g. "He/She is stopping my glorious plan of taking over the world! How dare they!"

unfortunately doesn't lead to the blood-suck-dry thing (yet?). As the "trial" was rigged from the start, the only way to stop the Evil Villain Plan^TM from succeeding was through exposing their lies... also Protag's Imouto shows up to overlook the trial.

the branch division shown is sus... however, Protag-Kun has an Imouto in another "division", not quite too sure how the author plans to classify these divisions, but Flamespear sounds rad. Chances are, I'll know more about the division classing/naming by the time the chapter on their trial is finished and uploaded
