I'm actually quite curious if they ended up going back in time or something.

Overarching plot seems a lot less complex than it first appeared —
• Witch falls in love with a human and runs away from their evil society,
•Daughter awakens her powers and absentmindedly starts reviving and healing animals,
•Witch society wants to use power to revive the ancient genocidal witches.

Totally a good plan that won’t completely backfire... it’s also kind of implied that witches are demons in some way.
