The Flower That Was Bloomed by a Cloud - Ch. 16

Aya. Even if he comes to genuinely like her in the future, with a personality like that, it's not gonna be a healthy kind of love 😑

Yikes! Poor Do-Gyeol. It's sad to see this in a webtoon but even sadder when you realize that this happened in real life.
And then there's Dowun slowly dragging Hong Lyon to the dark side. He seems happy now but I feel like this is gonna backfire on him. Maybe she'll end up falling for someone else along the way and that's when he'll realize he loves her.

This webtoon is pretty good! Thanks for translating!

Well the brother sure isnt gonna cause problems in the future....

I wouldn't be that upset if this ends in tragedy anymore. Yes she's succeeding but there making a lot of enemies along the way. Which is to be expected since they are planning to be usurpers.

And what is up with how characters have to be cruel and lose their kindness in order to succeed. Such an edgy trope that I would have liked when I was 12

im really curious as to how this manhwa will go because the male lead seems lowkey manipulative and im assuming the mc is supposed to help him break out of whatever emotional destitution or smthg (of course lmao)
but yeah with the way things are going damn their relationship is/will end up so unhealthy its a big yikes with the mc being possessive and dependent over the male leads affections because she's never been loved + the male lead is just messed up lmao probably will be possessive af when he finally feels emotion or learns to hold emotional value or smthg

@draw2much
agree ugh i rlly hope theres a happy ending for these two although it looks pretty hopeless right now (but maybe the ending will be good hehe)

This is a hard one to enjoy, it's really good domt get me wrong, but man it's hard to enjoy when the leads are so twisted.

She should have reiterated: boy could have been killed. This was the alternative to completely taking away his brother's, family's, and (genuinely beloved) sister in law's future due to his own childishness; there would have been no recovery for any of them from this. His mercy was to let others suffer for his mistake, and realistically, again, he's lucky he wasnt killed on the spot to begin with.

Realistically this was the best case scenario, especially because him falling for that ploy so easily shows that he's not well suited for the palace. Better be flogged and kicked out now than have himself and everyone related to him executed later

I guess I feel bad for the female MC, but with this she truly has no redeeming qualities now? What's the point of getting to the top when the landscape is just full of the bodies you had to crush to get there?

Well, I’m not surprised if this happened back in the days when they still have royalties in Korea. It’s a dog eat dog’s world in the palace. Everyone is scheming every where. I don’t hate them as they did what they did to survive in this kind of shitty place.

Damn you don't mess with (past) royalty but still, fuck the crown. Everyone else is just the feuits of the context, me thinks
