Wow that's fast...dangg I didn't know that Iris AI is named and modeled after a real person (in the manga) I love this kind of realistical and logical manga, unlike some manga that use magic to explain everything.
Man, the feels really hit me...almost as great as Legend of the Galactic Heroes space opera, condensed into into one chapter that’s good enough to stand on it’s own as a oneshot. She reminds me a bit of Cortana as well, which is the obvious comparison.
That’s the thing, it’s outside of earth Jokes aside, I think it might have been Chitose, a common Japanese name... I don’t know, I didn’t check the raws. Could also have been an informal nickname/ insult for a fat dude that had a bad reputation, as evidenced by his escape being the first to run away and abandon the planet.
@Ainzell you took words off my mouth. I love how this manga properly explained everything unlike most Isekais that use magics to cover all the nonsenses. This had become one of my favorite Isekais now.
Her last message was "somehow leaked" - can we add "for propaganda reasons"
But yea, Iris 1.0 had guts of steel. I like how Iris 2.0 (or possibly a higher version number) wants to live up to her name while still not overdoing it.
@mikoreimu - bugs from Starship Troopers are also capable of space flight and space combat. It's just that the story is focused on infantry who have nothing to do with space fights.
@Magaso - I doubt it. These bugs are too alien and not advanced enough. It sounds more like that story in Mass Effect where aliens put up all those ancient relays so that they could find and kill new civilizations easier.
