From my understanding, they stopped at a rest point (so most likely in the same day or next day) to take a break and regroup. And at that point she got back onto a carriage and the other soliders were like "why are here again?" with that one guy going "i don't want to be on the same carriage as you" to which she responded by kicking him out while showing off her superior skills.

I see. That does makes sense. The part where the prince met the ill king and then the king dying messed up my time progression a bit. I guess that was (or parts of it) a flashback.

I like how our MC can pass for a somewhat petite feminine lad, unlike so many other stories who says the MC is not feminine but for all looks and purposes looks like a lassie.
