The end was a bit confusing. Did he or did he not soak up all damage with sacrificial shield? One char said not to, he said ok. But then he said that he did? Except then one character was confirmed dead (anything else would have been a really poor cliffhanger. Such bad cliffhangers will never be written) as if he didn't.

@feha I don't think she was hit by the attack, she was getting exhausted from all the boosted attacks, and maybe there's some other effect on her, creepy undead bosses tend to have curses.

As far as Rude's skill, it sounds like he used it lightly, from the way he said it, like he only used it partially on that attack.

@Salfaro I think he means continuing the battle to build up another massive strike instead of retreating. The only reason to keep fighting this crazy powerful boss is his own (selfish) desire to get a cure for his sister.
