The Lady and the Beast - Ch. 4

I hate profs like her knowing just cuz a student is hella smart that they think they should humiliate such a student so they know their place in the world or some shit... it’s suppose to be a comedic scene in this chapter but it just straight up annoyed me cuz I hate such a “trope”

@sxyc Wanting the student to "know their place in the world" is rarely the only motivation for this kind of bullying. Often, teachers who try to take smart students down a peg like that are worried that the other students will lose respect for the teacher when they realize that the smart student is both more intelligent and more knowledgeable than the teacher is. They fear the threat to their authority and ability to keep the class together, so they try to restore order by publicly humiliating the student and rationalize it as an attempt to teach the student something.

Like someone said, they both have now reincarnated and I can't wait to see how their relationship develop

I picked this up at the right time. If I had started reading this when there were three or less chapters translated, I highly doubt I would have followed this series. The fourth chapter really makes it worth while. Good reading

So my theory is that Theodore betrayed her, when the country was in good place, because he was tired of being the king(let's not forget that he didn't want to be one in first place), and the only way to be freed from that burden was through death.

Ooh, this looks so promising <3 I love Astina already!! Can't wait for more :D
Thanks picking this up!!!!

Please don't let theo be reincarnated, I don't a coward man for her. Any man that doesn't explain or want to be with the woman he loves is a coward..

@selfiesturluson
I think he didn't know, but he probably did what he did for a reason, hopefully an understandable one, if even a bit.
@Hope2009
How is he a coward? He did all that knowing she would kill him and become empress. Probably. He didn't even want to be king, so why would he seriously try to kill Martina?

Awwww.... So they both loved each other? And this is a new chance for them to be together? And her curse for breaking her hear followed him into his next life??? I’m already sold. Reminds me so much of Adonis, especially the quality of this story. Also of Forced to Love, a little bit, though story quality is slightly lower. Well, I already know I’m gonna love this.

she loved theodore i--
what a plot twist i really didn't expect that considering he left her to die during the eradication

@meijune She probably came to love him after the eradication. She was Marchioness for 8 years, and that's plenty of time to fall in love.
