Probably the concubine gave him a son before the queen, bitch felt hers kids position threatened and killed the mother, therefore removing most protection from MC, then they tried to kill MC but her bastard son sucks and sent him into a coma, I think MC mother wasn't a noble as they call him halfie.
The king abandoned any hope for the MC, is made very clear by not punishing the queen for the concubine murder and dropping the archery attack investaigations+ never making a visit and leaving the spare palace go to ruin + he is sad to discover that after awakening the MC turned out competent and able, he knows people want him dead or worse and will not move a finger to help because he already put his support and left him to die 6 years before. Don't want to waste the effort he didn't put in him.

MC was very okay with the people stealing from him, on order of queen, getting killed, maybe he will grant them a pardon before the execution so to destroy the rumors of him being mand and having bloodlust.
