I highly doubt that people forget about stars and earth, if they have such high tech robots. You'd almost definitely have an information database like Wikipedia stored somewhere. Knowledge like this doesn't just disappear.

And I wonder how many more times of energy was contained in her "lightsaber" tool to be able to cut through solid walls, than the energy required to lower the bridge. It most definitely has something like counterweights, like in an elevator, so that much less energy is needed to operate the bridge.

There are examples in fiction, like the post apocalyptic game Horizon Zero where humans are cloned embryos raised by robots, except the library database was deleted.

If this story takes place on a generation colony ship, one of the rules to prevent existential despair at not being the ones who get to colonies might be to delete all references to the outside of the ship.

There seems to be some confusion; the manga repeatedly says they are in an arcology. Unless this is just the translator's fancy (and I don't see why it would be) that is usually meant to be self-sufficient cities inside a single (enormous) building. So they are probably on Earth, it's not a colony ship or anything like that.

Apparently they have all been inside that so long they have no clue anymore what the state of the outside world is. And I agree that sounds kinda unbelievable ... but, hey, it's manga. ^^
