wow just wow it shouldnt've failed but every person is just dumber than the average fish so the villains actually get to pull dumb shit like this off.
you know what would have been the play have the prince ride with them instead of chasing some dude. have the bird actually keep a bird's eye view how did you miss those guys they are literally at the side of the road coming out of the bushes. at this point i want the villains to win they're the only ones that have some sense.

every single person is so idiotic. It makes me wonder how the royal family wasn't exterminated ages ago but the villains is just as comedic ... This is a story where everyone says how certain characters are strong or smart and you as the reader are like "wtf they're idiots".
The emperor knows the kids are hated by nobles and they are in danger but sends a couple of guards and a prince who is supposed to be amazingly strong but was weak AF. The emperor listened to everyone else's opinion but never bothered talking to the kids. I already hated the garbage emperor since he was going to kill the kids as they were born and he neglected them for years (yeah don't hit with that curse or whatever bullshit, he acted like he was surprised when he saw their scars but he knew what their shitty mom was like...again imbecile!).
The kids are too trusting and that wouldn't have been a complaint for me if they were actual kids but this is their second life and ALSO they've seen how vicious everyone can be so why are they trusting this kid just like that... Honestly, everyone and everything about this is frustrating

Just kill 'em all and end the series at this point. None of them have an IQ higher than room temperature, and that holds true even when using metric. Okay, that was a bit harsh, there is one person who is a tad smart, but unfortunately for her, the twins would rather trust a literal stranger over her. That head maid deserves both a raise, and the duke's position

As incompetent as the royal family is, I kinda agree with you. They could probably use some different leaders.
Although, one could build a generator and power the entire capital city off of how much those kids and their father keep going around in circles. So maybe it'd be worth it to keep them around in the long run.

The guards letting a suspicious person in?
Twins not understanding "may be hard" is not the maid being unsure, it's a gentle way of saying he won't be there.
Only sending a handful of knights and a braindead prince when the twins have been attacked before?
Emperor still isn't saying anything. They're children. You need to use your words.
Third prince just runs off when he's supposed to be guarding.
"Bird's eye view" but doesn't notice the carriage is already surrounded before leaving them unprotected.
Just let the nobles take over already and have someone that actually has at least 1 brain cell running the country.
