Is that goblin from youkai or oni? I think oni sounds better than goblin tbh

I don't have the raws so I'm going to take a wild guess and say that goblin cat is used as translation where he said 化け猫(bakeneko, ばけねこ). Now goblin cat is a possible albeit somewhat uncommon translation for it used by a few translators, most notably Google Translate. That said it's a poor translation as very few people will understand what you're talking about. Not only does it not make it understandable to people who don't know anything about youkai(they won't even get a clue that you're talking about japanese mythology as the anglicized term leaves no clues whatsoever), people who know about the youkai in question probably won't recognize the name either. A better solution would be to use the romanji or more common translation bakeneko. This will at the very least give the right page on Wikipedia should a reader unfamiliar with youkai read it and a reader familiar with the youkai will at least understand it is a reference to it. An even better translation would be a less direct one that uses creativity to convey the meaning of that bubble.

For those that do not understand the reference. Bakeneko are shapeshifting cat youkai(aka demons/monsters in Japanese folklore). The reason he says bakeneko there to her is: 1. her changing of expressions as if a shapeshifting bakeneko, 2. her catlike appearance/demeanor, 3. bakeneko are know to be revengeful and especially so against (former) owners who neglected or mistreated them so maybe he feels intimidated by her.
