Let me guess, the people that MC believes to be his descendant, aren't actually his, but someone who took over his family name and heritage (many generation back).
On the other hand, the baby prince and MC's mother might be the real descendants, and MC mother begged that idiot noble to father a child with her (which results in MC being born), might have something to do with a prophecy, and MC's mother wanted her child to get the stolen family name and heritage.

... the whole series is a convoluted mess right now anyhow.

Seeing the MC keep referring to people as his descendants when "in the past" he was never shown to have either a significant other, nor his own children at the place he lived at... so where does that even lead to him leaving a family line at all? Heck, the only "child" he had with him was there one from that dead demon mother.

Even worse in this chapter is how he says he'll use magic to take care of things, and yet still just uses the sword.

Worried that the mother was left alone during this excursion, all while a band of savages were not that far away from their home? Fingers crossed, hope nothing happens.
