and something i have noticed is that the so called "villain" in these kind of stories is not actually the villain but rather a victim, and the so called "heroine" is the actual villain.
like seriously, the so called villain is honestly chasing love when suddenly a wild heroine appears! heroine used "hippity hoppity, the love of your life is now mine"! it´s super effective!

Not saying you are wrong, but japanese citizens are not people who would voice their opinion to your face especially in public. I can't imagine at all a nice discussion about a japanese manga authour and an american marveil comics author. The random american authour would express himself without hesitations and the japanese one think about japanse etiquette, make circles, avoid subjets or do some damage control speeches xD

no, it's a Japanese language thing.
the author wrote the kanji for the word landmine 地雷 which reads "jirai", but the furigana (smaller characters that show how to read the kanji) spell アドルフ, which reads Adolf. it's technically not correct, but it's used to directly compare the character Adolf with a landmine, which she does often
