You'll notice that in chapter 2, Darawon simply announced that he would be returning and the witch responded with "I've been telling you not to, though!"
In this chapter, the boy asks and Melusine hesitantly responds yes.
I love it when authors put character development on display this way. Small details like this are what makes Misu-sensei's work so wonderful!

Thanks for the update. When villager mobs become your wingmen. I dunno whether I should be surprised with this development but then again, his adult self has been teased at the extra last pages. Its only at chapter 1 when ms. witch's maternal instincts show up
