Looking up close , the mermaid girl actually has webbed hands .

This chapter proves that the Kui Ryoko is a genius : the mermaids have breasts so they are mammals , so their tail parts are supposed to be smooth skins , like dolphin and dugongs , not scaly like the fish tails in the unrealistic cartoon "the little mermaid" .
