My thinking: this small misunderstanding and resolution will prevent larger, more dangerous misunderstandings from happening in the future. And when someone tries to put a wedge between them, they'll be suspicious of that person. I hope the author uses this to deal with that nasty queen in the future (seriously, lil' bro is like some miracle, being a decent dude despite having a mother like that).

Also, Cesar's expressions were gold through this entire chapter. :3
