@ZeeTee The Nordic kid's spirit went to his ancestors/people in the village when he died from the beginning. Everyone that was with him (as spirits, or whatever you may call it) can come back when there's a vessel. The people that died that went away (passed on) cannot come back even if a body/vessel is available
I always thought before at that part when everyone was walking alongside Fushi was merely a metaphor... Bruh
Fly far away through the raging storm
'Til the end with the rise of the sun
On the winds rising higher through our astral empire
Break the chains, now this war shall be won
Edit: Does anyone know what chapter had that end page where it had Fushi and all his companions around him as spirits, there was a couple but there was a really big groupshot— I'd like to see it but I can't find it.
Double Edit: Went back to some final pages of some arcs and found some to confirm something. It's consistent that whenever an afterimage of someone gets disintegrated/blows away their faie (soul/spirit - ref v7ch56p15) has passed on. This includes the other kids from the prison island from Tonari's death (v07ch59p19). Fushi didn't get to see Rynn's/Beer Gramps final days so not sure if they themselves have their faie strong enough to stick around. It's hard trying to find those scenes again where any spirits are present, I am assuming if we don't see them in older scenes they've passed on. Also sad that Pyoran can't reunite as her faie has transferred to the horse, but glad we can have this .
