Side note: Carnivores have almost zero sense of taste. Its just the way their tongues and tastebuds are set up. I get that the wolf is 'magic', but that shouldn't really matter considering he always ate raw meat before, meaning normal carnivore taste buds.
Also a bit neat to know: Herbivores have the BEST sense of taste, exactly opposite a carnivore's.

Honestly, its a much more 'realistic' reaction to suddenly being in a world of sword and sorcery than the instant "Let's go fight the demon lord" tripe.

He is a normal human, as far as he knows, that is always around those that could kill him with a sneeze and even then it is not like he just get pushed around be everyone, like most isekai protagonists that just get pushed around by the plot and everyone around them even when they do not have that "cowardly nature".
