Tougen Anki - Vol. 2 Ch. 14 - Dangerous Guys

I wonder if more momotaros will realize that the group that kills innocent children is probably not the good group.

@Drailis I agree with that statement there. as far as i can tell the oni don't do that and to the momotaros the oni are just bad for just existing. Then when the oni retaliate for the momotaros killing their families the oni gets blamed as evil for fighting back.

It's going to be really fucking difficult to make the Momotaro group even remotely sympathetic. They're genociding a race of people because they can go berserk and on a rampage - this is already an inherent trait within humans. Some of them go on rampages and kill dozens or hundreds of people. The only difference is that instead of using guns, bombs, or vehicles this group of people inherently have a weapon with them - their blood.

Like they're purposely killing innocents because they may go berserk and are doing fucked up shit to them and it seems that that's common knowledge considering how brazen they were.

The cliche we're the good guys but then proceed to commit genocide thing is kinda getting old these days.

Bruh why is nobody talking about how thicc this chick is

You know, killing children of dangerous race is ok. Just remember goblin slayer. Yet MC had some kind of respect to them. He knew their capabilities and didn't torture them. Yet these guys think of their opponents as a filthy trash. This can't be characteristic of good guys.

@FireFox well thing is, we don't really know if Oni are actually that dangerous in modern times. Ch.1 They said that Oni went into hiding and lived among humans, so they might be fully content with their way of life now and don't pose as much of a threat as they did before. Though, they objectively DO go berserk, as we've seen happen to MC, but is that purely because he's an oni or is it because he was made aware of being an oni? We don't know.

But yes, the momotarou group look much less virtuous if they discriminate on the value of life depending on the race of that life. It's not a good look. It's essentially racism, albeit somewhat reasonable, but even with a sense of rivalry/antagonism, there's a level of respect required for your opponent to not fall into the realm of hypocrisy.

Uses power that basically identical except it uses "bacteria" instead of blood

Those guys are monsters tho!!1!

simping for the "villains", once again.
they're supposed to be the heroes actually, but they look more like villains in comparison to the ones painted as the villains:(

I like how the creature that he made was referencing the original 3 animal companions in the momotaro legend
