As well as avoiding [ul]breathing cinnabar dust,
ingesting cinnabar, and
burning cinnabar, [/ul] one should not handle cinnabar with bare hands. Frankly, I think that cinnabar is best left to chemists and to chemical engineers. The rest of us should find less dangerous sources of vermillion color.
