ZUN's very vague when it comes to what can be considered as canon to Touhou, there are Official Manga (Strange and Bright Nature Diety to name but one of them), but amongst fanworks (doujinshi) he's been said to prefer that fans have their own ideas and interpretations of Gensoukyou and the characters that populate it.

So basically, it just depends on how you feel about it.

very cute. expands a lot on komachi, who is already one of the more complex characters in touhou. definitely my favorite of the SCoOW mangas.
