Speaking about this manga, though, the author obviously projects his eastern world view.

After like the 2nd failed attempt, the commander of the operation would have come with tanks, helicopter and a complete army, with any and every kind of heavy weaponry imaginable.

Sending five people as the 5th attempt is just batshit insane. It is a caricature of the western mindset.
