I think a few people dont quite get it. what she did during the tournament was to make him loose in order to report to melra that they wouldnt need him because he is weak (so that they would stop bothering him). so she did that for her disciple.

We already did this. The Knight Captain was the murderer. Now we pop in gods out of nowhere. Not to mention that they keep retconning everything established in the story so far. This story is literally just on repeat but "do it bigger next time" mode.

- MC goes back in time after touching a unknown magic item. Retconned to be a Mana container.
- Elf Summoner is established to be his old wife. Retconned to be a background character the MC doesn't give a shit about.
- Sword spirit is constantly called "He" for many chapters. Retconned into a girl.
- Sword is established as on par with Holy Swords and used to defeat the Demon king. First regular encountered Demon blocks it with his arm. Retconned into Sword is just nothing.
- Mana is established at birth and MC has a double soul to get double mana. Retconned to his magic power is worthless as he casts no powerful spells. Retconned again into a demon hand blast.
- Mother, Father and Master all retired into an enemy kingdom after their origins were Retconned to be from another Kingdom.

I could do this all day.
