Even though that was mostly exposition it was still pretty educational as to how these treatments go overseas and the difficulties that abound with them.

The purpose of works like this is to both tell their story but also inform the ignorant. Hopefully knowing more, you are able to empathize with people who go through this instead of disregarding them.

If you understand the process, understand the trials they go through physically, personally and socially, and still "don't care", you are probably a shitty, selfish person.
